I recently received this promo from an argentinian band, and i had not anticipated all this powerful sound because i have never heard any argentinian band before, that was the first time i do, after their first demo "Transgenia" they have decided to write a new material so it was their starting LP composed of 9 songs, named Cognition.

I know very little about Sacrum. I've never heard them before this release, but I like their sound. This Prog-Metal band captivated my ears, I think it's pretty clear I'm not the biggest Prog-metal fan, but i like it when some bands come up with something different and powerfull . if you are a Dream theater fan you would notice that, the Vocals "Estanislao Silveyra" seems taking their influences from Dream theater stuffs, i gave this album the time that deserves. The album has began by "Translation" is a powerful song, in which we could hear some Symphony X influences, and when i arrived to "Sacrum " song I ve been surprised because they brought a guest with a growl-voice, his voice is incredible it seems like I was listening to oldies records of Amorphis just Sacrum is more speedy, anyway that was my favourite song of this album. And we must not forget Skills of guitar player with a perfect Riffs and Technical melodic solos, Behind all of his skills are greatest influences like Devin Townsend, Dream Theater, Therion, Arch Enemy,Symphony X....

And we don’t miss Mariano Herraiz is shown us his language at The keyboards because it takes an important place in the music especially the songs "Stay" and "Innerself" and "No turning back".What the cover art lacks in detail, it makes up for in excellent use of deep and dark colors. It also has a great atmosphere into it. It shows an Endless Way to unknown light .

Sacrum is definitely a band to keep an eye on in the future. a perfect album for every fan of the style and has all the elements to be a successful album anyway Sacrum know how to accomplish their first step .
