ZT-webzine : How was the recording of 'I'm Back' ? Did something worth telling happen or did they just go as planned?

EVERYTHING WENT AS PLANNED

ZT-webzine : Why did you choose "I'm Back" for the title of that album ?

WELL AS YOU KNOW I LEFT THE SCORPIONS 1996 AND I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A
GOOD TITLE TO TELL MY FANS THAT I'M BACK TO PLAY HARD AND HEAVY AGAIN!!!

ZT-webzine : Could you talk more about your pocket-book "Here I Am" ?

THIS POCKET-BOOK WAS DONE IN 2002 AND IT TELLS MY STORY ABOUT MY LIFE. OF
COURSE THERE ARE MANY STORY'S AND PICTURES ABOUT MY LIFE WITH THE SCORPIONS!

And what inspired you to write this book?

I HAD SO MUCH TO TELL SO I THOUGHT IT IS TIME TO DO SO...

ZT-webzine : What would you have done if you were not rockers?

I WAS ALWAYS VERY MUCH INTERRESTED IN ART AND ALSO HEALTHY LIVING; SO I
GUESS I WOULD OF DONE A JOB THAT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS!

ZT-webzine : What instruments do you play besides the ones you play in the band?

I PLAY ALSO PIANO

ZT-webzine : Do you have any other profession ?

NO I STUDIED MUSIC AND THAN I JOINED THE SCORPIONS

ZT-webzine : If James Kottak ever decided to leave "Scorpions" again, would you return?

NO I THINK EVERYTHNG HAS HIS TIME AND I HAD A GREAT TIME WITH THE SCOORPIONS AND I LIKE TO KEEP MY GOOD MEMORIES LIKE THIS!!!

ZT-webzine : Which of the "Scorpions" albums is the most special to you and why?

THERE ARE SEVERAL: LET'S START WITH "LOVEDRIVE"; THIS WAS THE ONE THAT MADE
THE BAND KNOWN IN AMERICA AND I LIKE OF COURSE THE SONGS THAT I WROTE OR
CO-WROTE LIKE "ANOTHER PIECE OF MEAT; LOVING YOU SUNDAY MORNING AND IS THERE
ANYBODY THERE"? THE NEXT ALBUM WAS "ANIMAL MAGNETISM"; I LIKE MOST OF THIS
ABUM NOT ONLY BECAUSE I WROTE MOST OF THE LYRICS ON IT; BUT I CONSIDER THIS
AS CLASSIC SCORPS ALBUM!!! THE SAME GOES FOR "BLACKOUT" AND "LOVE AT FIRST
STING".

ZT-webzine : What have the media and fans to say about your album "Taken by Force " and do you remember how many gigs did you do on that album?

I KNOW FOR SURE THAT THE JAPANESE LOVED THIS ALBUM; WE WENT ON A GREAT TOUR
THERE JUST AFTER THE ALBUM WAS RELEASED!

ZT-webzine : What can you tell us about 'Crazy World'?. How did you develop the songs, what inspired you?

IT WAS THE FIRST ALBUM AFTER WE DEPARTED WITH OUR LONGTIME PRODUCER DIETER
DIERKS; I GUESS WE WANTED TO PROOF A POINT AND IT WAS GOOD TO WORK WITH A
NEW PRODUCER LIKE KEITH OLSON; ALSO WE WROTE FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH A
"OUTSIDE" WRITER LIKE JIM VALANCE; SO A LOT OF NEW IDEA'S CAME IN....

ZT-webzine : What are the principal differences between 'Crazy World', and the music of "Humanity"?

WELL "CRAZY WORLD" HAD SONGS LIKE "WIND OF CHANGE" AND OTHER TYPICAL
SCORPIONS SONGS; WHERE I THINK "HUMANITY" DOES'NT SOUND LIKE THE SCORPIONS
ANYMORE!

ZT-webzine : What have been some of your best memories with "Scorpions"?

PLEASE READ IN MY BOOK; IT'S FULL OF "MEMORIES"!!!

ZT-webzine : What is your musical background? Your personal influences?

I STUDIED MUSIC ON THE MUSICAKADEMIE IN SAARBRUECKEN; GERMANY. MY PERSONAL
INFLUENCE WAS LED ZEPPELIN AND JOHN BONHAM

ZT-webzine :what can you tell us about the lyrics? that's true you wrote the true stories ?

ALL THE LYRICS I WROTE ARE TRUE STORY'S COMING RIGHT OUT OF MY LIFE!!!

ZT-webzine : what were your reasons for leaving the Scorpions?

THERE WERE SEVERAL REASONS: FIRST I HAD A OFFER TO MAKE TOGETHER WITH PRINCE
ALBERT OF MONACO A RECORD-COMPANY! ( WE DID AND CALLED THE COMPANY "MONACO
RECORDS"! ) SECOND I DID'NT AGREE ANYMORE WITH THE MUSICAL DIRECTION THE
BAND TOOK WITH THE ALBUM "PURE INSTINCT"!

ZT-webzine : I heard that you joined Scorpions on stage at WAcken 2006. that's right ?

YES I DID AND I PLAYED 2 SONGS WITH THEM: "BLACKOUT" AND "NO ONE LIKE
YOU"AND WE HAD GOOD FUN!

ZT-webzine : Let's talk about touring, which countries are you planning to visit this year?

I WILL WAIT UNTIL I SEE A REACTION ON MY ALBUM AND THAN TOUR!

ZT-webzine : Do you have anything you would like to say to the readers of and Zero Tolerance webzine ?

YES; IT FEELS GOOD TO BE "BACK" AND PLAY AGAIN! I LOOK FORWARD TO SEE YOU
ALL VERY SOON ON THE ROAD TO "ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE" AGAIN!!!
