Samir: Hello Unleashed, how
are you doing today?

Hi Samir! Just fine thank you…..Unleashed has just
signed a deal with SPV world wide so we are very excited right now.
Samir: How come you named
the band "Unleashed", what's the story behind that name?
It is all about unleashing what’s inside….that’s what
death metal is all about if you ask me.
Samir : Can you give a small
history of your band ?
After the split up of Nihilist, I started Unleashed
and the others started Entombed. That’s how it all went down long ago late
80-ies.
Samir: What do you think of
the older albums today?
I like them very much, they are what we were all
about back then, and we still play many ot the older stuff live today.
Samir: You're playing
Swedish old school death metal. How would you describe your music?
Death Metal.
Samir: Do you have any
favorite song on the albums?
Nope, I just brutally love all of them
Samir: Let's us talking
about "Shadows in the Deep" one of the most influential and important albums in
Death Metal history; what does this album means to you and to the band?

It was a good follow up on the “where no life dwells”
album and marked a period in our carreer that was very early so to speak. Much
happened back then and death metal was still underground-kind –of. We shocked a
lot of people and still made many new friends all over the world.
Samir: What is in your
opinion the best song on "Sworn Allegiance" and why?
Can’t pic just one…..sorry.
Samir: The best album you've
created throughout 15 years.
Midvinterblot. Out on SPV September or October this
year.
Samir: Where do you get your
inspiration from to create the music of Unleashed?

From life, death and anything beyond.
Samir : What about a new
album? Or are you not thinking about that yet?
We are releasing the new one right now actually, like
said above…and are very enthusiastic about it of course. It will be our most
brutal album to date. And our best if I may say so.
Samir : Tell me something
about "Across The Open Sea" because i like it so much .
It’s our 3rd album and it marked our 3rd world tour…a
very hectic period back then. Lots of touring.
Samir: Did you still follow
the happenings within the Metal scene in those years or was it a period for you
all?
We are still the same guys. Death Metal – No
Compromise!
Samir: How do you think
"Sworn Allegiance" compares to 1995's "Victory"both lyrically and musically?
A natural development. Swron has a better production
and better songs but Victory was very good for the time being. It’s hard to
compare them but it’s the same Unleashed Death Metal in both.
Samir: How much do you
identify with the Viking history? Is it just the imagery for you, or do you
identify with your country's ?
That’s what we are my friend. Nothing more, nothing
less.
Samir: There's always been a
difference between European and American Death metal. what do think about that ?
I think the american one is a little faster in
general, the European one mostly a little bit melodic. Both are very cool
though.
Samir: What have the media
and fans to say about your album "Hell's Unleashed" and do you remember how many
gigs did you do on that album?
We didn’t do many tours on that one….it came on sworn
allegiance mostly.
Samir: You played at Wacken
in Germany. How was that experience for you?

Fantastic as always. Wacken is great!
Samir: What is in the future
for UNLEASHED? Are there things that the band wants to achieve that you haven't
achieved yet?
We will grow for sure. A new album out on SPV, soon
also a DVD, lots of touring both in Europe and USA. It will be a very strong
campain for the new album MIDVINTERBLOT.
Samir : If you 'll be
invited to playing here in morocco, do you accepte about this invitation?
Hell yes, why not. I haven’t been there so that would
be a trip for sure.
Samir: Do you have anything
you would like to say to the readers of and Zero Tolerance webzine ?
Thank you Samir for your interview and maybe one day
we’ll see you in Morocco, you never know! Keep up the good work and stay
metal!!?
Samir: Thank you for your
time, and for giving your fans a chance to read a little more about
Unleashed.,Any final comments?
Hail Odin!!
