Samir: How are you doing?
Im doing fine at the moment, producing my solo record
has been a blast so far, now its time for the mix....and I cant wait to here the
final thing.
Samir: Could you please present
yourself to the readers
Well I'm David Readman singer of German based Rock band
Pink Cream 69, I'm from England but I've lived in Germany for the past 12 years,
and music is my life.
Samir : Where does the name
'Pink cream69' originate from and what does it represent? Can you remember any
of the other names that were considered at the time?

Hey man I've been in the band 12 years, and I wasn't
there in the beginning. lol I think it was some sort of cocktail at the time, I
guess it sounded interesting.
Samir: How would you describe
your style of music to someone who isn't familiar with the band and who do you
see your target audience as being?
Well were American sounding, melodic hard rock...we
pride ourselves on making good solid records..with great songs.
Samir : What kind of songs are
you writing?
I write a lot of ballads, and slow heavy
numbers..sometimes I even get over tempo 135....
Samir : When you recorded this
album did you think consciously about going back to your old style of making
music?
Yes in a way with Electrified we went back to the roots,
and since then we have tried to stay true to that style. But we do still try to
push our boundary's.
Samir : So far what are the
messages that you receive in this promo tour for your new album?
Very cool and good
feedback, its a lot of work following Thunderdome!!!
Samir: Your new album 'III' is
a truly haunting album, would you like to tell us a little bit about each of the
songs on it and any stories behind them?and Do you have a favourite track off
the new album?
My favourite is " Straight to the Heart" I guess this is
about the son of a soldier looking back at his fathers pictures from the
war...yes I am very please with the results of the record. It was cool working
with such great musicians.....
Samir : Did you play any cover
tunes in your early days?
Yes I did lots of different stuff but mainly rock tunes,
you can learn so much from that!!
Samir: What can you tell us
about 'Electrified'. How did you develop the songs, what inspired you?

Electrified was a long process, from finding the band
again to recording the record, we jammed a lot in the studio, and also took the
songs further there too...
Samir: What's your favourite
music? That is, what music does the band listen to and currently like? Who would
you cite as influences?
My stuff is bands from the 70s, Led Zep, Beatles, The
Who...the guys in the band have many different influences...
Samir: What are your future
plans and where do you see yourself in the year 2007?
Well first the release of my solo CD...and then
hopefully a small tour, and of course PC69
Samir: If you had to choose
your favourite "Pink cream69" record, what will that be?
Electrified would be the one!!
Samir: Tell us one thing about
yourself that not many people know
I'm a very strict Vegetarian...so no meat for me!!
Samir: tell us a little bit
about your career with Adagio.
We had good and bad times, it was great working with
other musicians, and most of all another language for me to try and learn!
Samir : How did the crowd react
after the release of "Sanctus Ignis"?

Very positive, of course people were also quite shocked,
it was very different to PC69.
Samir : How was the recording
of "Underworld"? Did something worth telling happen or did they just go as
planned?
It went very well indeed, as always there were a lot of
last minute things, and guitar players need longer than everybody anyway...
Samir: Why you left Adagio,
Kevin Codfert told us that they had some problems with your manager.
Well that's not really true, but to be honest its been a
long time now so no comment...
Samir: What can you tell us
about your work with Michael Kiske in Place Vendome ?
I was writing with Alfred Koffler from PC69 and there
were some songs needed for the Kiske thing...and that's that!
Samir: Do you have anything you
would like to say to the readers of
http://metal-forum.xooit.com/
and
www.zero-tolerance.ca.gg
?
Thanks for taking the time out to check out our music
keep on rocking and see you all some time soon....
Samir : If you 'll be invited
to playing here in morocco, do you accepte about this invitation?
Of course I love to see the world and its people..
Samir: Famous last words?
No Pain no Gain
Samir : David, it was very nice
talking to you. Hope to see you in our country soon .
