Samir: Present yourself to the audience.

My name is Lander, I am vocalist and guitar player of The sceptic Death Metal band.

Samir: What does "The sceptic" mean for you ?

The Sceptic is all our work, effort, love, hate, and the blood that runs in our bloodstream, everything we do, is to keep The Sceptic alive, to keep Death Metal on the top of all the Stiles

Samir: when and were was your meeting with the others members of the band?

The beginning of all was in 2000 when I did a song called "psychocenesis" with my old thrash metal band, but after that, I start playing in an other death metal band called "Sangria" for one year, and in 2002 I invited Maurício (guitar) and Marcelo (bass) to make a band initialy called "Sceptic" , we invite some drummers, but none of them want to play with us, then we recorded our first album with programmed drums, and now we found the right person to play drums forus, he´s call Marcos Conti.

Samir: what was your feeling in the first time you was meeting "spectator" in the concert?

Was very nice.

Samir: How is everything going with your album"Psychopathological"?

We did some concerts to divulgue the album, and we are very good accepted for the people in the concert´s places, I did a travel to THE USA to work there, and I enjoy the time to send some cds to label records there, we receive an answer of "Metal Blade Records" telling us that the album was very good, but was not what they were looking for at that moment, and in Brazil we are having very good reviews of magazines and websites specialized in Metal, have a look in www.thesceptic.com

Samir: what's the goals of your band in the future ?

We are waiting offerings of label records interested in divulgue us over the Europe, we are planning record more two new songs to send for some places that we have contacts, make a tour outside of our country, and keep our divulgation over the world, People like you were helping us to do it, thank you.

Samir: How have the tours been going?

We did some shows in our state in Brazil, we played with some well known brazilian bands like Abbominattion, Murder Rape and Dark Celebration, was very nice, but we never did a tour over the country, everything is expensive here.

Samir: What would be the festival of your dreams ?

We would like to play in the Milwaulkee metal fest, Mariland metal fest, Waken, Dynamo open air, and in all the places that our sound would be welcome.

Samir: are you following any death metal band's rules !!

No, we just do our sound based in our influences, but trying to do something original, different of the other bands.

Samir: what's the relation between your band and sceptic from polonia ?

Not any, despite of like their sound, we don´t have any ligation with them, I only choose the name Sceptic (initialy) for our band, because it´s my thougth, my belief, our lirycs speak about it, I didn´t have any interest in copy nothing of the polish band, so we change our name to The Sceptic.

Samir: Let's talk about your songwriting .what's the kinds of your lyrics?

Our lyrics in the "psychopathological" EP, like the title, speak about mental illness, diseases, parapsychological phenomenoms and a misbelief of a good world like in "Accident of Creation", the greed killing the man, but in our new songs, I am writing about atheism, scepticism, death like a natural thing and some lyrics against any kind of religion bringing a thougth that "I respect, but I don´t want it for me".

Samir: if you 'll be invited to playing here in morocco, do you
accepte about this invitation?

Of course that yes, but we have a problem that is called money, we don´t have it at the moment, but if one day we could, woul be a honour to play in Morocco.

Samir: do you heard some things about arabic scene?

To tell you the truth, I never heard about arabic bands, unfotunately, I would like to know some arabic bands.

Samir: did you hear some thing about "Dubai festival" Testament and
megadeth was there last time ?

Yes, I do, I think that this festival is in The United Arab Emirates, I saw in a Testament´s website.

Samir: if you could tour the world with any band, who would it be ?

Unfortunately, the band that I really would like to tour doesn´t exist more, Death (Chuck Schuldiner), but there is a lot of death metal bands that we would like to tour like: Nile, Mortician, Cynic, Cannibal Corpse, Spawn of Possession, Agiel, Deeds of Flesh, Decrepit Birth, Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Incantation, Sceptic, Dismember and a lot more.

Samir: What was the favorite band you toured with?

We played with brazilian bands like MIndstab, Inheritours, Dark Celebration, Abominattion, Murder Rape, Terrify, and we liked to play with them.

Samir: What kind of festivals have you played ?

There is a famous festival next to our city called "Macabre festival" that is the bigger of the south of Brazil.

Samir: What are your three favorite ever metal records?

I could make a list with a hundred of them, but if it´s only three albuns that I can choose...

Thank you Samir for the interest in our band, people like you that the underground needs, and for all the people of metal, wait for the second work of The Sceptic, a full lenght with ten new songs that we are planning to release in 2007.
